Members of the Saskatoon Police Guns & Gangs Unit have arrested two suspects who were wanted for attempted murder in connection to a stabbing on May 22nd.
The first suspect was arrested at approximately 10:00 p.m., on Wednesday, after investigators conducted a high risk traffic stop on a taxi in the 1400 block of 11th Street West. A 25 year-old man and a 33 year-old woman, were arrested without incident and a loaded, sawed-off shotgun was allegedly located in the vehicle.
The second suspect, a 35 year-old man, was arrested Friday morning after exiting a home in the 1500 block of Rayner Avenue.
The arrests were made in relation to a Saskatoon Police Service investigation after two men were stabbed in a residence in the 100 block of 109th Street West. Both men aged 37 and 39, sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for assessment.
The two men are charged with Attempted Murder, Uttering Threats and Robbery in relation to the May 22nd incident. The 25 year-old man and 33 year-old woman are facing numerous firearms-related offences in connection to their arrest.
