A 37 year old Edmonton man is facing charges of sexual assault, luring, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching among other charges in relation to a Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit investigation.
In April, Prince Albert Police received a complaint from a parent that their child had been lured online and the child was sexually assaulted.
The ICE Unit and the Prince Albert Police Service Child Protection Unit investigated the allegations. On August 12th, with help from the Edmonton Police Service and ALERT, which is Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams, executed a search warrant at an Edmonton home and electronic devices were seized for forensic analysis.
Ullas Pappu appears in provincial court in Saskatchewan September 30th.
