The provincial COVID-19 update includes 238 new cases and three people who tested positive for the virus have died. There are 238 people in the hospital with COVID-19, including 54 who are in an ICU. This morning (Fri), the Provincial Emergency Operations Centre stated that there are also 37 non-COVID patients in an ICU, for a total of 91. Three ICU patients with COVID-19 were transferred to Ontario on Thursday and three more are expected today (Fri) , then two more each day Saturday and Sunday.
One patient who no longer needs ICU care is expected to be brought back from Ottawa today (Fri) to a Saskatchewan hospital. The number of active cases in the province has gone done by 34 to 2,364. Twenty-five-hundred-forty tests were given on Thursday and 3,974 doses of the vaccine.

- Fifteen (15) cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Far North East (from October 7 (1)), North West (from September 24 (2), September 26 (1), September 27 (2), September 28 (1), September 29 (3), October 26 (1), October 27 (1)), Saskatoon (from October 26 (1), October 27 (1)), and Central East (from October 27 (1)) zones.
- 77,305 cases are confirmed:
- 18,912 cases are from the North area (8,412 North West, 7,738 North Central, 2,762 North East)
- 18,634 cases are from the Saskatoon area
- 15,191 cases are from the Regina area
- 9,406 cases are from the South area (2,086 South West, 2,824 South Central, 4,496 South East)
- 9,090 cases are from the Far North area (4,241 Far North West, 541 Far North Central, 4,308 Far North East)
- 5,454 cases are from the Central area (1,386 Central West, 4,068 Central East)
- 618 cases have pending residence information.
- 2,364 cases are considered active and 74,095 cases are considered recovered.
- Almost one-third (30.3%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39.
- Almost one-third (32.0%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated.
- As of October 29th, a total of 238 individuals are hospitalized in SK, including 184 inpatient hospitalizations and 54 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 238 patients, 165 (69.3%) were not fully vaccinated.
In addition to SK ICUs, there are 22 residents in out-of-province ICUs. As these patients are receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in dashboard. - Three (3) new deaths reported today. 846 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1.
- 1,222,304 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of October 27, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,030,683 tests performed per million population. The national rate was 1,210,236 tests performed per million population.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 209 (17.3 new cases per 100,000).
