Starting today, unvaccinated Canadians can board a plane or passenger train and travel again.
Since October 30, 2021, those over the age of 12 who were not vaccinated against COVID-19 could not board a plane or train and most could no longer show a negative COVID-19 test as a substitute for vaccination.
Earlier this month Ottawa also announced that between June 11 and 30, random COVID-19 testing of incoming vaccinated passengers at airports would temporarily end. However, unvaccinated travellers are still required to be tested on-site during that time.
As of July 1st random testing will be removed from Canadian airports. That doesn’t mean random testing has come to an end it just means it will be performed at off-site locations.
