Over 360 children will be provided with snacks and lunches each day thanks to a donation from the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority.
Yesterday, SIGA announced a $50,000 investment in the Inclusive Meal Program at Hope’s Home, the only medically inclusive child care center in Canada.
At the home, children with complex medical and typical needs are assisted by on-site nurses, and provided with tools to help them learn, grow, and become independent.
The Inclusive Meal Program at Hope’s Home locations across the province will benefit from the donation. The money will also support the purchase of kitchen materials such as adaptive cutlery that promote independence by allowing all children to feed themselves.
Jacqueline Tisher, Founder and CEO of Hope’s Home, says she is “incredibly grateful for SIGA’s support of the inclusive meal program at Hope’s Home. This program will provide funding to our four Early Learning & Child Care Centers across the province.”
In total, SIGA is investing more than $1.89 million in community funding across the province this year.
