Human remains were found last Sunday afternoon in a rural area northeast of Moose Jaw. Moose Jaw RCMP engaged a forensic anthropologist and pathologist, who have examined the remains. It is believed the remains have been there for ten years or longer. At this point, RCMP don’t believe the death was suspicious. The individual hasn’t yet been identified. Investigators will look at historical missing persons in the area.
Moose Jaw RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Historical Case Unit is continuing to search the area, so residents may notice an increased police presence northeast of the city. An update will be provided by police when there is more information to share.
