The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a garage fire in the Kensington neighbourhood this morning. The call came in at 5:52 a.m. and arrriving firefighters could see smoke and flames coming from a detached garage.
Fire officials say strong winds this morning made fighting the fire difficult and adjacent homes and outside storage sheds were at risk.
One crew started fighting the fire from the exterior while another entered the building to confirm no one remained inside.
As of 8 a.m. Tuesday the fire has been brought under control and fire crews remained on scene. No one was hurt and a fire investigator is identifying the cause, origin and damage estimate.
