The two investigations continue in regards to the quadruple homicide on Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation and the firearms incident on Zagime Anishinabek. The Saskatchewan RCMP says Keagan Panipekeesick, who is facing charges related to the firearms incident is scheduled back in Regina Provincial Court next Tuesday.
There is still an increased presence of police at Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation as investigators continue to gather evidence. A news release from the RCMP says the victims haven’t all been formally identified yet. The autopsies by the Saskatchewan Coroners Service continued today (Thurs).
The release also notes that this is a complex investigation which is still unfolding, and no updates will forthcoming until there is information that can be released without compromising the integrity of the investigation or the privacy obligations.
