One person has died in a Saskatoon house fire.
This morning at 3:08 a.m., the Saskatoon Fire Department received a report of a fire in the 2200 Block of 20th Street West.
Three fire engines, a ladder truck, a rescue unit and the Battalion Chief responded. Crews reported seeing heavy smoke coming the main floor of a single-family bungalow upon arrival. Flames were also noticed in the basement.
The fire was under control by 4:28 a.m., and one occupant was found dead inside. The investigation continues and an update will be provided when available.
