A flag-raising ceremony and presentation will take place in Civic Square during the lunch hour, with today being Human Trafficking Awareness Day country-wide.
This is the 3rd Annual event of its kind in Saskatoon, after a motion was adopted in Parliament back in 2021 where all members unanimously voted to declare every Feb. 22 as a National Day of Awareness of the crime.
The Salvation Army has teams up with Saint Anne Parish Catholic Women’s League council to organize the event in past years and will be doing the same in 2025.
A roundtable discussion will follow at the Parktown hotel from 1:00-3:30 p.m.
