The Saskatoon Police Service says one man has been arrested after being found unconscious on a city bus and in possession of weapons.
In a news release the police says officers responded to a report of an unconscious person on a bus shortly after midnight in the 200 block of 23rd Street East.
Police believe he was under the influence of an intoxicant and after making several attempts to wake him, they say he immediately resisted police directions. He was taken into custody and removed from the bus with a search of his person indicating he was in possession of bear spray and a knife. The individual was also wanted on several outstanding warrants.
The 23-year-old man is facing numerous new weapons related charges in addition to the warrants which were executed upon his arrest.
