Saskatoon Police Service responded to a weapons call Sunday afternoon in the city’s Blairmore neighbourhood.
The report to police came in around 3:30 p.m. indicating a man armed with a knife was damaging the tires of vehicles in a parking lot in the 300 block of Shillington Crescent.
A suspect was located in the area of 22nd Street West and Hart Road and was taken into custody without incident. Police say he was found to be in possession of a knife.
A 47-year-old man is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying Concealed Weapon, and Mischief. He was also found to have outstanding warrants.
And about a half an hour later officers responded to a weapons call at the Midtown Plaza.
Shortly before 4 p.m. it was reported that a group of youth had entered a shopping mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South with what appeared to be a firearm. Police quickly located suspects and seized an airsoft handgun and a can of bear spray from two individuals.
Two males, ages 14 and 15, are both charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Carrying Concealed Weapon.
