Saskatchewan has launched a physician recruitment campaign targeted at doctors in the United States.
The government partnered with the Saskatchewan Healthcare Recruitment Agency (SHRA) to deliver the digital campaign directed at physicians currently practicing in several states. Emergency medicine physicians, anesthesiologists, and family physicians are part of their focus.
The “Saskatchewan is Calling” campaign will be launched in early spring in provincial, national, and international markets, including the United States.
In a news release SHRA CEO Terri Strunk said, “Saskatchewan offers one of the quickest pathways to medical licensure for physicians who have American Board certification and have, or are eligible to obtain, a full license in the United States.”
The campaign promotes the benefits of living in Saskatchewan such as competitive compensation, lower cost of living, work/life balance and stability.
