The Town of Aberdeen’s Council has declared a state of emergency due to flooding. It was initiated on Sunday, according to a Facebook post on the Town of Aberdeen’s page. The post says the Town is working alongside the Saskatchewan Safety Agency and the RM of Aberdeen to mitigate the water collecting within the town limits from the spring melt.
The RM’s post says it too has been experiencing large amounts of run off and flooding as a result of the quick snow melt. Crews worked through the weekend to try to mitigate the situation.
