An 18 year old male is in Royal University Hospital Intensive Care Unit with serious injuries following a hit and run collision overnight.
The Saskatoon Police Service in a news release says officers responded to a parking lot in the 100 block of Nelson Road just after midnight.
Police say when they arrived they found a large group of youth and the injured male. He was transported to hospital for treatment. Witnesses reported that victim had been on foot in the parking lot when an altercation occurred and a vehicle struck him.
The vehicle then left the scene, however a short time later the driver of the vehicle contacted officers and was taken into custody. Charges are pending as members of the Collision Analyst Unit investigate.
