Saskatchewan RCMP say members of the Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team, as part of a drug trafficking investigation, located two people in a parked vehicle in a parking lot in Martensville that they believe could be connected to illicit drugs destined for the Spiritwood area.
This was August 7, and a man and woman were arrested. While searching the vehicle among the items seized was approximately 891 grams of cocaine, 629 grams of methamphetamine, 55 grams of crack cocaine, $7,990 in cash, a conducted energy weapon, and an expandable baton.
Forty-five-year-old Arlene Sakebow of Saskatoon and 55-year-old Leon Clay of Pelican Lake First Nation were in court last Monday charged with one count each possession for the purpose of traffic meth and cocaine, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
