Several Saskatchewan communities set record temperatures for late-August on Wednesday.
The Buffalo Narrows area reached a new record temp on August 27th of 31.5 degrees. The old record was 30 degrees set in 1981, and records have been kept since 1962.
Key Lake also reached new highs on Wednesday. The region was recorded at 28.9 degrees, surpassing an old record of 28.5 degrees set in 1981. Records have been kept since 1976 in this area.
And lastly, the Stony Rapids region recorded a new record high for this time of year of 30.9 degrees. This upends an old record of 27.1 degrees set in 2012. Records in this area have been kept since 1960.
