Teens arrested in connection to assault
The Saskatoon Police Service says two Saskatoon girls, ages 13 and 15, are facing charges in connection to an assault on Monday.
Around 7:40 p.m., police received multiple reports of an altercation involving several people at 24th Street West and 2nd Avenue North.
When officers arrived, they located an injured 21-year-old woman who told them she’d been hit with a glass bong. She was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The two suspects were arrested at the scene and are now facing charges including Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Assault with a Weapon.
Weekend stabbing sends one to hospital
Members of the Serious Assault Unit are investigating a weekend stabbing.
Officer responded to an injured person report around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday to the 1400 block of 21st Street West where they located a 29-year-old man with a stab wound. He was transported to hospital.
It is believed the victim was nearby the home when he was approached by another male who assaulted him and stole his phone.
Armed robbery in Saskatoon hotel room
The Saskatoon Police Service says their officers are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in a hotel room on Sunday.
Just prior to midnight, police were called to a hotel in the 500 block of Idylwyld Drive.
A 20-year-old man had suffered minor injuries in an assault and told police that three men and a woman, with their faces covered and armed with a handgun, broke into the suite.
They assaulted the victim and then stolen his wallet and cell phone.
Long weekend B&E in RM of Corman Park
Anyone with information regarding the stabbing or this robbery are asked to contact Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
Corman Park Police Service says a suspect was arrested after a break and enter on Friday morning in the Rural Municipality.
The call came in around 6:30 from a home in the Grasswood Road and Clarence Avenue area after a homeowner woke up only to encounter someone in their house.
The suspect – a male – ran from the house but Corman Park Police say their officers as well as Saskatoon RCMP and RCMP Police Dog Services were able to locate a suspect hiding in an outbuilding nearby.
The Police Service Dog helped make the arrest and the male was slated to appear in court on break and enter charges.
