Man attacked for not giving up money
The Saskatoon Police Service says one man was taken to hospital after an assault last night.
Police responded to an injured person call shortly after 11:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive. The male victim had suffered a head injury and was transported to hospital by paramedics.
Officers determine the victim was on his privately-owned bus when an unknown man approached him, entered the bus, and asked for change. Police say when the victim declined to hand over money, the suspect struck him multiple times in the head with a metal object. The suspect then fled and members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate.
