Around 3:00 a.m. Saturday Saskatoon police responded to the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue C after a passing ambulance had found a man at that location with multiple stab wounds.
The 33-year-old man was transported to hospital where he is recovering, and officers determined the stabbing had taken place about a block away and the victim’s vehicle had also been stolen.
Within approximately 40 minutes of responding to the initial call, the stolen car was located in the area of 22nd Street and Circle Drive. When police tried to pull it over the driver refused so a tire deflation device was used to disable the vehicle at 22nd Street and Circle Drive. The suspects were quickly taken into custody after trying to flee on foot.
Saskatoon Police say they located a loaded firearm, knife and ammunition.
The 14-year-old’s charges include Aggravated Assault, Robbery and firearm offences. He was also found to be in breach of probation. A 29-year-old man is facing charges of Dangerous Driving and Evade Police.
