If you’re driving through Martensville there is a definitely a Halloween display worth stopping to take a look at. Ron Gurski says it started around five years ago with about a half dozen decorations and then he found e-Bay.
“That’s where I found all my minions. So, if you go out there, the majority of my display is minions now. At last count I believe there are 54 inflatables, 25 of those are minions.”
He says he’s working on the display all year-round sourcing out new inflatables that if he likes it, he will buy it. Gurski sets it up October 1st and leaves it until November 1st.
Gurski says he’s running out of room, and his neighbour has agreed to let him use their yard as long as he pays for the power.
For the last two years he’s been doing a fundraiser for the Martensville Food Pantry asking viewers to drop off a food item or make a cash donation.
Last year he said they had 575 kids and this year Gurski is predicting there will be 700. The Halloween display is located at 410 4th Street South.
