Officers on duty in the area of 20th Street West and Avenue H South were flagged down by a passerby around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday who told them two males had just pointed a firearm at him as they tried to rob him.
In a news release, the Saskatoon Police Service says the officers located two persons matching the suspect description nearby. When taken into custody the police say the 18-year-old and 16-year-old were found to be in possession of a shotgun, a machete, and a knife.
Both are charged with Possession of Dangerous Weapon, Carrying Concealed Weapon. and breaching court-imposed conditions. The 18-year-old is also charged with Point Firearm, Careless Use of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Prohibited Possession of Firearm.
