Mis-cues and turn overs left the U of S Huskies in a tough spot, down 24-9 in the fourth quarter and the Regina Rams with the momentum. But a few big plays and Ram mis-cues put the Huskies in position to win on a 25 yard Lukas Scott field goal with only 28 seconds left. The Dogs battled for a 25-24 win over the Rams to claim their 22nd Hardy Cup in program history. Coach Scott Flory says “it’s not about the mistakes you make, but about plays you make when needed”.
Jake Farrell passed for 365 yards and two touchdowns. Ryker Frank contributed 183 total yards in the win.
The Huskies will host Queen’s Gaels on Saturday in the Mitchell Bowl. Queen’s advanced with a 30-27 upset of Wilfrid Laurier in the Yates Cup.
