The Regina Urgent Care Centre scaled back its operating hours over the weekend.
The announcement was made on the Saskatchewan Health Authority web page which indicated it was due to limited physician availability.
The centre, originally slated to be open 24 hours, but only open till 9:30 p.m. each night, saw hours further reduced and closed at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It will close at 2 p.m. again Monday.
Those experiencing medical emergencies were advised to call 9-1-1 or attend the emergency department at either Regina General or Regina Pasqua hospitals.
Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, November 11th.
The Regina Urgent Care Centre, which opened in July 2024 was the first facility of its kind in the province. A second Urgent Care Centre is being built in Saskatoon and is slated to open in spring of 2026.
