Saskatoon and area cleaned up at the 2025 Canadian Tourism Awards. The event took place in Gatineau, Quebec and Saskatchewan went into the awards night with nine nominations coming away as winners in four.
Wanuskewin Heritage Park received the Indigenous Tourism Award, Dakota Dunes Resort was recognized as Tourism Employer of the Year, Ag in Motion took the Business Event of the Year Award and Field to Shield by Adventure Destinations received the Culinary Tourism Experience Award.
As well, Blackstrap Glamping Resort was recognized as a finalist for Small or Medium Sized Business of the Year.
In a news release, Discover Saskatoon says, “This recognition shines a national spotlight on Saskatoon’s strength as a destination known for innovation, authentic experiences, and meaningful partnerships. From Indigenous-led tourism to groundbreaking events and local culinary excellence, Saskatoon continues to shape the future of tourism in Western Canada.”
