A 16-year-old girl has died, and Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes is investigating.

At 8:22 a.m. on Thursday, police were called to the 900 block of 12th Street West. Police say they learned that someone had been shot. They found the girl suffering from life threatening injuries, however she was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

While at the scene, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy who was found inside the home. He remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
