If you draw a line across Saskatchewan through Lloydminster, North Battleford, Rosthern, Humboldt, Kelvington and on to the Manitoba border, everything south of that is either under a flash freeze warning or a winter storm watch. Regina is also facing a wind warning.
An Alberta clipper will move through Saskatchewan bringing a swath of 10 to 25 cm of snow that will encompass a large area of southern Saskatchewan by Wednesday evening with areas near the Trans-Canada Highway and south to the US border having a risk of freezing rain. The snow will taper off from west to east Wednesday evening.
Strong winds, gusting 80 to 100 km/h, beginning on Wednesday afternoon will bring reduced visibilities in blowing snow and may cause blizzard conditions. These conditions will taper off Wednesday evening and overnight.
A return of cold arctic air will be ushered in behind this system on Thursday.
