The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a small fire in the 1600 Block of 22nd Street West early this morning.
The fire was reported at 12:33 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke coming from a 3rd floor stairwell window of an apartment.
They found the fire burning in the window frame and used a water fire extinguisher to put it out. Crews then used tools to open the area and look for hotspots, they also used a thermal imaging camera to determine that the fire was completely put out.
A fire investigator is conducting an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate of the fire.
