The Saskatoon Police Service wrapped up a drug trafficking investigation with the arrest of two people and seizure of multiple drugs, weapons, cash and a vehicle.
Members of the Crime Reduction Team with assistance from the Tactical Support Unit, arrested a 39-year-old woman and 36-year-old man around 3 p.m. on January 2nd in the area of Central Avenue and 103rd Street East.
Officers then served a search warrant for two vehicles and a home in the 200 block of Egbert Avenue.
Police seized 83 grams of fentanyl (brown, pink, yellow), more than 500 grams of methamphetamine, 26 grams of cocaine, 32 grams of psilocybin, 600 millilitres of GHB, 60 clonazepam pills another 20 opioid pills identified as tec-3 almost $4,000 in cash as well as assorted weapons including knives bear spray and imitation firearms. And finally, they seized a 2001 Toyota Soarer right hand drive coupe.
Both suspects have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000, and possessing, producing, selling, importing, or transporting anything intended to produce a controlled substance.
