Crediting U.S. President Donald Trump’s leadership Attorney General Pamela Bondi says Department of Justice agents have apprehended Canadian Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding. He was sixth on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted List. In a post on X Boni says Wedding was flown to the United States.
FBI Director Kash Patel had previously compared Wedding, who was believed to be living in Mexico, to Pablo Escobar and ‘ El Chapo’ Guzmán. Wedding was captured in Mexico and flown to California.
Ryan Wedding was wanted for allegedly running and participating in a transnational drug trafficking operation that the FBI says routinely shipped hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Colombia through Mexico and Southern California to Canada and other locations in the United States. It is also alleged that Wedding was involved in orchestrating multiple homicides in connection to drug crimes.
A reward of up to $15 million was offered for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Ryan Wedding.
