Tuesday evening Saskatoon Fire crews responded to a house fire in the RM of Corman Park. The call came in at 7:52 p.m. and when firefighters arrived, they could see heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the home. All occupants got out safely, but the home was so damaged by fire the roof collapsed. The fire was completely put out and the scene turned over to police for investigation.
About five hours later fire crews responded to a house fire in Saskatoon’s College Park neighbourhood. The call came in around 1 a.m. and firefighters could see flames coming from the home in the 200 block of Carleton Drive when they arrived.
One crew fought the fire from the outside while the other crew entered the building to search and confirm no one was inside. All the occupants had safely evacuated. A fire investigator conducted a scene examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate and the scene was turned over to Police for further investigation.
