Parents of children enrolled in a Warman daycare program are left scrambling following the operator’s decision to pull out of the community.
Hope’s Home, a Saskatchewan-based, medically inclusive charity and childcare provider sent a letter to impacted families, stating that there is a lack of children with complex medical needs in that area.
The letter adds that since 2021, the school that Hope’s Home operates out of hasn’t had a nursing program. This “has created a fundamental gap between the services offered in Warman and our core mission of caring for children with complex medical needs.”
The closure is effective as of June 26th, 2026. The letter assures families that work is underway to secure potential new operators as soon as possible.
Hope’s Home admits that the decision was not made lightly.
