With 15 to 25 centimetres of snow possible in Saskatoon Tuesday afternoon and overnight, the City of Saskatoon says sanding trucks will manage icy sections while plows and graders will clear snow as it accumulates on priority routes.
The City declares a snow event once 5-centimetres has accumulated and residents can follow the progress through the Priority Street Snow Grading Map.
The City also cautions that Saskatoon Transit will adjust service as needed and service can be delayed or interrupted by collisions, blown-in streets and bus stops that are not accessible due to snowfall and drifts.
Humboldt RCMP are reporting that there are poor conditions, including near-zero visibility, on Highway #6 from Watson to Raymore.
There are reports of a number of vehicles in the ditch and a semi across the highway.
Highway #20 between Humboldt and Lanigan was blocked earlier Tuesday. It’s now clear but officers report conditions are still very poor.
There were reports early afternoon of a semi and trailer on its side in the northbound lane of the Martensville overpass.
