TeleMiracle week kicks off today, leading up to the 50th Anniversary show taking place on Saturday at Prairieland Park.

To celebrate the golden anniversary, the telethon will be extended by two hours this year, lasting from

7 p.m. on Saturday until 5 p.m. on March 1st. The program can be viewed on both CTV Saskatchewan channels and online at www.telemiracle.com.

A release from the Province says, “For many, this will offer two more hours of entertainment; for those in need of the Kinsmen Foundation’s help, it will be life changing.”

The telethon has raised over $171 million since it first began half a century ago, with all funds raised going towards ensuring that those who require specialized medical equipment or travel have access to it.
