Two men are in North Battleford Provincial court Monday (March 16) charged in connection to a homicide in the city on Friday.
Around 7:45 a.m. Friday morning, Battlefords RCMP responded to a report of an injured man in a business parking lot off the Highway #16 Bypass in North Battleford.
EMS declared the man deceased at the scene and he has been identified as a 30-year-old man from North Battleford.
Nineteen-year-old Kojac Adams is facing one count each of first-degree murder, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and pointing a firearm.
Nineteen-year-old Garren Baptiste is charged with one count of manslaughter and one count of forcible confinement. Adams and Baptiste were arrested at the business.
In addition to the 30-year-old man who died the RCMP have also identified a victim who was forced at gunpoint to a room in the business where he was confined. That individual was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
