One person died on Friday as the result of a fire at a home in the 400 block of Avenue I South.

Saskatoon Fire Crews responded to the fire and found the person deceased inside the residence while conducting fire suppression operations.

Fire inspectors are investigating the cause and origin of the fire. More information will be released as it becomes available.
