The Saskatoon Police Service is hosting a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) on Wednesday and Thursday.
This two-day initiative will take place at various locations in and around Saskatoon with enforcement that focuses on impaired driving, distracted driving, seatbelt use, speeding, unlicensed driving/vehicle registration, and vehicle equipment regulations.
There will be police officers from across the province in the Saskatoon area to conduct sobriety checkpoints, vehicle inspections, and other traffic safety initiatives.
STEP is a multi-agency task force with the goal of improving traffic safety in Saskatchewan.
