Under new ownership, The Prairie Lily is making its first voyage of the season on Friday.

The 120-passenger boat has been on the water since 2012. Last summer, former owners Mike and Joan Steckhan decided to cease operations following a difficult season which left the boat docked due to high sandbars and low water levels.

Starting this season, Stephanie Simonot will be manning the ship. However, she isn’t getting thrown into the deep end alone, as the Steckhans are staying on as mentors this summer.
