A fire investigator will be spending some time in the 800 block of Appleby Drive in Saskatoon following a fire at an apartment building Thursday afternoon.

The call came in from a three-story apartment at around 3:16 p.m. Thursday.

Fire crews arrived to see smoke and visible fire originating from the building’s balcony.

Crews applied water to the outside of the building while another crew went inside to confirm no occupants remained.

The fire has since been completely extinguished, an all occupants evacuated safely.
