The first of two, non-uniform fare adjustments – which will take effect on July 1 – were announced Friday by Saskatoon Transit.
In a news release, Saskatoon Transit said the changes will support on-going services, help address rising costs and maintain the affordability of equity-based fare products. A list of the new rates can be found below. However, the release added that low-income and discounted social service passes will maintain their current rates with no increases while free fares for children in Grade 8 and under remains unchanged. One-month fare passes purchased between June 15 and June 30, with a July 1 activation date, will be subject to new rates on June 15. All other fare adjustments begin July 1. The second fare adjustment will come into effect on January 1, 2027…..
