A 35-year old woman is facing multiple charges after an incident very early Monday morning on 8th Street near Wess Road.
Around 1:20am, Saskatoon Police spotted a vehicle on the side of the road and saw a woman sleeping on the driver’s side front seat.
Officers woke the woman, but she refused to provide identification. Police indicate the woman began to resist arrest, started the vehicle and threw an unknown liquid at the officer.
The officer and the woman took turns starting and stopping the vehicle. The woman was eventually placed under arrest and it was determined that she had outstanding warrants. The new charges include obstruction and assault with a weapon. The police officer received medical care in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
