There were 422,274 calls for service in 2025 for Saskatchewan RCMP detachments.

That information was part of the RCMP’s release of annual statistics. It works out to an average of 1,157 calls per day. This reflects a 15 per cent increase in calls for service year over year, and a 58% increase over the last decade.

Meanwhile, 4,801 of these calls for service were Priority 1 calls, marking a slight increase from the Saskatchewan RCMP’s 10-year average. The RCMP say Priority 1 calls represent the highest-priority emergencies where police response is imperative to an individual’s, or the public’s, safety.

In a news release Saskatchewan RCMP say the OCC – Operation Call Centre – is essential to providing a province-wide coordinated response.

Superintendent Devin Pugh said, “The ability to surge our police response within Saskatchewan is a skillset that only the RCMP has. It’s this unique capability that helps keep Saskatchewan safe.”

In 2025 the RCMP’s Police Dog Services deployed to 1,095 calls for service and the Emergency Response Team deployed to 114 calls for service. Saskatchewan RCMP’s Crisis Negotiation Team, Tactical Medical Unit, and Containment Team each deployed to 76 calls for service. These teams are part of the Critical Incident Response Team.
