Saskatoon Police are investigating the city’s 8th homicide of 2026.

Patrol officers responded to a report of an injured person lying outside in the 200 block of Avenue V South.

The call came in at 6:45 p.m. Thursday and the victim, a 24-year-old man was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Members of the Saskatoon Police Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections are continuing to investigate.

An autopsy will be conducted on August 4 – next Tuesday.
