Saskatoon Transit announced Wednesday it was experiencing a temporary disruption affecting the sale and reload of reloadable smart cards.
The disruption was caused by a routine software update to Saskatoon Transit’s retail sales platform, which is preventing vendors and the Transit Customer Service Centre from issuing new or reloading smart cards.
They have identified the source of the error and updates on the status of the situation can be found at saskatoontransit.ca.
The City says customers with active fare products on their reloadable smart cards can continue to travel and validate their fares as normal. Mobile ticketing through the TGo and Transit apps remains fully operational, and cash fare payment continues to be accepted onboard.
