A 21-year-old woman has been arrested following an incident involving a knife during a cab ride early Tuesday morning.

About 40 minutes after midnight, police were called to the 1400 block of Idylwyld Drive North for the report that a male cab driver had a knife and attempted to stab a woman. Police also received a seperate call for service that outlined a woman had pulled a knife on a cab driver.

Officers arrived to find a man and woman standing outside of a cab. They learned that the man had given the woman a ride and once it was over, the woman grabbed the man’s phone charger. The man exited the cab to retrieve his charger when the woman pulled out a knife and threw it at him.

The woman now faces four charges, and she is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Tuesday.
