Forty-three firearms have been seized from a home in Kayville, Saskatchewan.
On July 26, at 3:00 p.m., Coronach RCMP received a report of a firearms-related incident, and investigation determined that an individual was walking outside when a man at a property across the road pointed a firearm in their direction.
Then, on Wednesday, RCMP, with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team, arrested 37-year-old Matthew Dorland in Avonlea.
Officers searched his home and located 25 kilograms of explosive material, 43 firearms, multiple prohibited firearm magazines, and ammunition.
Now, Dorland faces seven charges. He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Thursday.
