A 42-year-old man remains in hospital with serious injuries as the result of a serious assault that occurred just before midnight on Tuesday in Prince Albert.

According to a Prince Albert Police Service news release, officers were called to an alley in the 1400 block between 14th Street West and 15th Street West to assist Parkland Ambulance with the injured man. The P-A Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating and attempting to establish the circumstances surrounding the assault. Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident – or anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious – to contact them at 306-953-4222.
