August was on the wetter side for most of the province as thunderstorms boosted precipitation total for most centres.
After one of the driest months in July, Prince Albert turned around and recorded the ninth wettest August in the past 141 years. There was 125.1 millimetres of rain last month, or 248 per cent of normal.
Swift Current had 97.6 millimetres of rain which was 203 per cent of normal and the ninth wettest August in 140 years. Yorkton, North Battleford and La Ronge racked up much higher-than-normal rainfall amounts as well.
It was drier than normal in the Regina/Moose Jaw area.
