The self-proclaimed “Queen of Canada,” who had been living in a decommissioned Richmound school for two years prior to her arrest is back in Swift Current Provincial Court today.

Romana Didulo when in court Friday told the judge she “would only consent to a natural law trial.”

She is charged with one count, failing to comply with the undertaking condition and one count, intimidation of a justice system participant.

Didulo refused a lawyer and was remanded in custody to appear for a bail hearing this morning.

Meanwhile the Saskatchewan Public Health Authority gave those who had been occupying the former Richmound school until end of business Friday to vacate. The SPHA declared that the facilities were not connected to a lawfully operating sewage system. As such, in accordance with The Public Health Act, 1994, the building has officially been declared as unfit for habitation.

The notice posted also called upon the owner of the building to remedy the deficiencies found within. The owner, Ricky Manz of Richmound, faces the same charges as Romana Didulo and was held in custody while also awaiting a bail hearing today.
