Saskatoon residents who experienced flooding and property damage due to the significant rainfall event on August 8 qualify for the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP).
According to a City of Saskatoon news release, the Saskatchewan government approved the city’s application to be officially designated as an Eligible Assistance Area. As a result, Saskatoon residents may now apply to the province for financial assistance through PDAP. PDAP information packages, including a printed application form, are now available for pick up at the Information Desk in the lobby of City Hall. Claims must be submitted to PDAP by February 8, 2026 and all repair work must be completed by August 8 of next year. The City of Saskatoon notes that PDAP is not their program, wholly administered by the province – who make all claim decisions via PDAP.
